Hearing
Hark! The herald angels sing, "Glory to the newborn King; Peace on earth, and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled!" Joyful, all ye nations rise, Join the triumph of the skies; With th' angelic host proclaim, "Christ is born in Bethlehem!" Hark! the herald angels sing, "Glory to the newborn King!" Christ the everlasting Lord; Late in time, behold Him come, Offspring of a virgin's womb. Veiled in flesh the Godhead see; Hail th' incarnate Deity, Pleased with us in flesh to dwell, Jesus our Emmanuel. Hail the Sun of Righteousness! Light and life to all He brings, Ris'n with healing in His wings. Mild He lays His glory by, Born that man no more may die. Born to raise the sons of earth, Born to give them second birth. Fix in us Thy humble home; Rise, the woman's conquering Seed, Bruise in us the serpent's head. Now display thy saving power, Ruined nature now restore; Now in mystic union join Thine to ours, and ours to Thine. Stamp Thine image in its place: Second Adam from above, Reinstate us in Thy love. Let us Thee, though lost, regain, Thee, the Life, the inner man: O, to all Thyself impart, Formed in each believing heart. |
Hear this, all ye people, hear, Earths inhabitants, give ear; All of high and low degree, Rich and poor, give heed to me. And my mouth shall wisdom speak; Hearken while in lyric strain I make hidden wisdom plain. When I see the evil day, When with wickedness my foes Shall surround me and oppose? Though they boast of wealth untold, None can bid his brother live, None to God a ransom give. And corruption never see, Costly is lifes ransom price, Far beyond all sacrifice. |
Sound the battle cry! See, the foe is nigh; Raise the standard high for the Lord; Gird your armor on, stand firm every one; Rest your cause upon His holy Word. Rouse, then, soldiers, rally round the banner, Ready, steady, pass the word along; Onward, forward, shout aloud Hosanna! Christ is Captain of the mighty throng. While our cause we know, must prevail; Shield and banner bright, gleaming in the light, Battling for the right we neer can fail. Help us one and all by Thy grace; When the battles done, and the victrys won, May we wear the crown before Thy face. |
Silent night, holy night, All is calm, all is bright Round yon virgin mother and Child. Holy Infant, so tender and mild, Sleep in heavenly peace, Sleep in heavenly peace. Shepherds quake at the sight; Glories stream from heaven afar, Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia! Christ the Savior is born, Christ the Savior is born! Son of God, loves pure light; Radiant beams from Thy holy face With the dawn of redeeming grace, Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth, Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth. Wondrous star, lend thy light; With the angels let us sing, Alleluia to our King; Christ the Savior is born, Christ the Savior is born! |
Sight
O soul, are you weary and troubled? No light in the darkness you see? Theres a light for a look at the Savior, And life more abundant and free! Look full in His wonderful face, And the things of earth will grow strangely dim, In the light of His glory and grace. He passed, and we follow Him there; Over us sin no more hath dominion For more than conquerors we are! Believe Him, and all will be well: Then go to a world that is dying, His perfect salvation to tell! |
Come, ye saints, look here and wonder See the place where Jesus lay: He has burst His bands asunder; He has borne our sins away; Joyful tidings, joyful tidings, Yes, the Lord has risn today, Yes, the Lord has risn today! By His death He overcame; Thus the Lord His glory raises, Thus He fills His foes with shame; Sing ye praises, sing ye praises, Praises to the Victors Name, Praises to the Victors Name! Come from heavn to meet their King; Soon, in yonder blessèd regions, They shall join His praise to sing: Songs eternal, songs eternal, Shall through heavns high arches ring, Shall through heavns high arches ring! |
Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, Through many dangers, toils and snares, The Lord has promised good to me, Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail, The earth shall soon dissolve like snow, When weve been there ten thousand years, |
Touch
Fight the good fight with all thy might; Christ is thy Strength, and Christ thy Right; Lay hold on life, and it shall be Thy joy and crown eternally. Lift up thine eyes, and seek His face; Life with its way before us lies, Christ is the Path, and Christ the Prize. Lean, and His mercy will provide; Lean, and the trusting soul shall prove Christ is its Life, and Christ its Love. He changeth not, and thou art dear. Only believe, and thou shalt see That Christ is all in all to thee. |
Standing by a purpose true, Heeding Gods command, Honor them, the faithful few! All hail to Daniels band! Dare to stand alone! Dare to have a purpose firm! Dare to make it known. Daring not to stand, Who for God had been a host By joining Daniels band. Stalking through the land, Headlong to the earth would fall, If met by Daniels band. On to victry grand! Satan and his hosts defy, And shout for Daniels band. |
Tongue / Taste / Talk
Speak, O Lord, Thy servant heareth, To Thy Word I now give heed; Life and spirit Thy Word beareth, All Thy Word is true indeed. Deaths dread powr in me is rife; Jesus, may Thy Word of Life Fill my soul with loves strong fervor That I cling to Thee forever. And to hearken to Thy voice; May I ever love and fear Thee That Thy Word may be my choice! Oft were hardened sinners, Lord, Struck with terror by Thy Word; But to him who for sin grieveth Comfort sweet and hope it giveth. Where I quench my thirsty need; Lord, Thy words are bread life-giving, On Thy words my soul doth feed. Lord, Thy words shall be my light Through deaths vale and dreary night; Yea, they are my sword prevailing And my cup of joy unfailing. May Thy words take root in me; May this gift from heavn enrich me So that I bear fruit for Thee! Take them never from my heart Till I see Thee as Thou art, When in heavnly bliss and glory I shall greet Thee and adore Thee. |
And dost Thou say, Ask what thou wilt? Lord, I would seize the golden hour; I pray to be released from guilt, And freed from sin and Satans power. More of Thine image let me bear; Erect Thy throne within my heart, And reign without a rival there. And from Thy joy to draw my strength; To have Thy boundless love revealed In all its height, and breadth, and length. But to Thy care the rest resign; Living or dying, rich or poor, All shall be well if Thou art mine. |
Awake, my tongue, thy tribute bring To Him Who gave Thee power to sing; Praise Him Who is all praise above, The source of wisdom and of love. A deep where all our thoughts are drowned; The stars He numbers, and their names He gives to all those heavenly flames. Ten thousand thousand charms unfold; Earth, air, and mighty seas combine To speak His wisdom all divine. Its wonders, O what thought can trace! Here, wisdom shines forever bright; Praise Him, my soul, with sweet delight. |
Refrain Go, tell it on the mountain, Over the hills and everywhere Go, tell it on the mountain, That Jesus Christ is born. Over silent flocks by night Behold throughout the heavens There shone a holy light. When lo! above the earth, Rang out the angels chorus That hailed the Savior's birth. The humble Christ was born And God sent us salvation That blessèd Christmas morn. |
Smell
All creatures of our God and King Lift up your voice and with us sing, Alleluia! Alleluia! Thou burning sun with golden beam, Thou silver moon with softer gleam! O praise Him! O praise Him! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Ye clouds that sail in heaven along, O praise Him! Alleluia! Thou rising moon, in praise rejoice, Ye lights of evening, find a voice! Make music for thy Lord to hear, O praise Him! Alleluia! Thou fire so masterful and bright, That givest man both warmth and light. Unfoldest blessings on our way, O praise Him! Alleluia! The flowers and fruits that in thee grow, Let them His glory also show. Forgiving others, take your part, O sing ye! Alleluia! Ye who long pain and sorrow bear, Praise God and on Him cast your care! Waiting to hush our latest breath, O praise Him! Alleluia! Thou leadest home the child of God, And Christ our Lord the way hath trod. And worship Him in humbleness, O praise Him! Alleluia! Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son, And praise the Spirit, Three in One! |
When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word, What a glory He sheds on our way! While we do His good will, He abides with us still, And with all who will trust and obey. Trust and obey, for theres no other way To be happy with Jesus, but to trust and obey. But His smile quickly drives it away; Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear, Can abide while we trust and obey. But our toil He doth richly repay; Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross, But is blessed if we trust and obey. Until all on the altar we lay; For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows, Are for them who will trust and obey. Or well walk by His side in the way. What He says we will do, where He sends we will go; Never fear, only trust and obey. |
