Check out the Five Senses pages which include vocabulary, hands on activities, keeping it clean, games, literature/research projects, coloring, music, movie suggestions, What does the Bible say?, and more! My children are convinced that Christian poets outnumber all comers. Well, starting at an early age I would try to combine Christian tunes with whatever we were doing. We would read through the lyrics, review any new vocabulary, look for imagery, review poetry mechanics, I would ask comprehension questions, we reviewed what the Bible said, author information, geography, and do activities. That is why all these things are included on the PDF File worksheets for each of the pieces of music on the 5 Senses Song page.

New Page ... Confused with how to present Shakespeare to your scholars? Why not have a little bit of fun with him first? Teach alliteration (i.e., the repetition of the initial consonant sounds in two or more neighboring words ... kind of like tongue twisters) with insults from Shakespeare's time. I taught my daughters alliteration this way when they were young and they STILL love it ! Also learn about the continuing scholarly debate about whether Shakespeare actually wrote Shakespeare, take a tour of the Globe Theatre and more. Hugs to Kuwait - Adopt a Soldier ... Do your part on the war against terror, have your family adopt a soldier serving our country. Your children will enjoy sending letters and homemade delectables to him or her !

Adopt our Troops ... Join the Presidential Prayer Team. They will assign a specific soldier in any branch of the service you desire to pray for! They even have a special certificate you may print off with your soldier's name for each of your children !

IN GOD WE TRUST ... WRITE IT ON THE OUTSIDE OF ALL YOUR ENVELOPES!
A couple of post offices in Texas have been forced to take down small posters that say "IN GOD WE TRUST." The law, it is said, is being violated with respect to electioneering posters (is God running for office)? A radio show has proposed that we all write "IN GOD WE TRUST" on the back of all our mail. Writing "IN GOD WE TRUST" prior to posting our mail is not only simple, but inexpensive. "IN GOD WE TRUST" is our national motto which is written on all the money we use to buy those stamps. Let us take back our nation from those who think anything referring to God should be removed from our national life. If you like this idea, please pass it on, and DO IT. The idea of writing or stamping "IN GOD WE TRUST" on our envelopes sounds good to me.

New Page ... Conjugating Verbs ... Amazingly and sadly, conjugating verbs is fast becoming a lost art for most American children. Yet, they will be exposed to conjugating verbs when they start learning a foreign language. Young children that love to repeat nursery rhymes and stories in their sing-song voices love to verbally conjugate verbs. It is fast, painless and can be fun. The verb hop, for example, is hilarious to conjugate with young children when you are hopping while conjugating. Snorting while conjugting the verb snort makes the exercise fun and memorable. Conjugating in this fashion is painless and easy only taking 2-3 minutes daily. By the time your young scholar learns about helping verbs and state of being verbs, not to mention first person, second person and third person -- they will all have become old friends for your child.
