What you will need:
     10 inch clay saucer
     block of florist foam
     pea gravel
     Spanish moss
     twigs (enough for three crosses)
     small, artificial flowers
     purple ribbon

1)  Cut your block of Florist foam to fit part of the 10 inch clay saucer.
2)  Place pea gravel in the bottom of the saucer.
3)  Cover the foam with Spanish moss.
3)  Make three crosses out of twigs and place in the hill (on top of the foam).
4)  Place a stone or rock in front of the cave cut in the foam.

    On Easter morning ...

5)  Cover the hill with small, artificial flowers.
6)  Drape the center cross with purple ribbon.
7)  The stone has been rolled away and the gauze wrapping is sitting in the bottom of the cave.

Easter Onomatopoeia Activities

Remember:  Onomatopoeia = Words that imitate sounds or sounds that are linked with objects. In short, literary sound effects.
(from Greek = name-making)

Pronounced:  on-o-mat-o-PEE-a

Quick ... what sound ...

What sound do you hear on when a family thanks the Lord for His sacrificial gift?
What sound is heard when a family enjoys their Easter meal together in celebration of the Victory?
What sound do you hear just before sun rise service begins at church?
What sound is heard when proud grandparent hold their grandchildren close?

The Christian Alphabet Poem

Although things are not perfect
Because of trial or pain
Continue in thanksgiving
Do not begin to blame
Even when the times are hard
Fierce winds are bound to blow
God is forever able
Hold on to what you know
Imagine life without His love
Joy would cease to be
Keep thanking Him for all the things
Love imparts to thee
Move out of "Camp Complaining"
No weapon that is known
On earth can yield the power
Praise can do alone
Quit looking at the future
Redeem the time at hand
Start every day with worship
To "thank" is a command
Until we see Him coming
Victorious in the sky
We'll run the race with gratitude
Xalting God most high
Yes, there will be good times and yes some will be bad, but...
Zion waits in glory ... where none is ever sad!
