Parody = Frequently, parodies may be a humorous, witty piece of literature or musical work exaggerating something in literature, civics, music, etc. usually imitating a well-known piece of work  (e.g., The Embarrassing Episode of Little Miss Muffet, etc).

In this situation, the parodies are imitating well-known and beloved children's songs, finger plays, and old rhymes.
