This remake of the 1945 State Fair film has a lot of wonderful musical numbers. Alice Faye came out of her 20 year retirement to make this film which makes the movie well worth watching.

Mario Lanza's voice is stunning. It is ashame that Mario Lanza only sang for the lead and did not play it. The film is based on Romberg's famous 1924 operetta.
